As you grow, it may be hard to hold onto every detail of those special summers that changed your life. Now you don’t have to worry. Your girls camp experience at Skyland is written into our 100 year-old story, and we want you to be able to stay in touch with us as well as your fellow campers through the years. That’s why we offer camp alumnae resources, such as special events and our print newsletter.
Skyland’s Centennial Celebration – August 4-6, 2017
In 1917, Skyland Camp for Girls established itself as a place for girls to play, explore, and connect with a nurturing and supportive community. Now, over a century later, we’re gathering together to celebrate Skyland’s legacy as one of the oldest summer camps in the Southeast and all of the campers, staff, and families who have made it what it is today.

Contribute to the Campership Fund
In 2017, we announced our new goal to raise $50,000 for the established Skyland Camp for Girls Campership Fund. There is no better time than during our centennial season to contribute what you can and help make the Skyland Camp for Girls summer experience affordable for Skyland families, old and new. Let’s continue to magic and legacy together. Won’t you help send a Skylander to camp this summer? Find out more at www.SkylandCamp.com/donate.
Share the Spirit of Skyland
If you know a young girl, her parents, or her grandparents who are considering a camp for girls, talk with them about Skyland Camp!
Mother-Daughter weekends are a great way for moms to introduce their daughters to Skyland and get a sample of what it’s like to attend a girls sleepaway camp.
Skyland caps attendance at 60-65 campers each session. Girls from all over the United States arrive in the Great Smoky Mountains to attend our traditional summer camp. FOr example, in 2016, twelve states were represented. The amazing experiences are still as life-changing as they were when you attended!
Share the gift of Skyland and talk it up with your neighbors and friends.
Come Up to Skyland … Come Up to Camp …
We LOVE seeing alumnae back on the hill. Miss the feeling of your North Carolina summer camp? If it’s been a while, please plan to return in 2017. You’ll love seeing the renovations including the heated swimming pool, the barn and riding ring, and many cabin renovations. The “new” blends right in with the old, so the charm you remember is still there.
