ALUMNAE CAMP

SKYLAND CAMP FOR GROWN-UP GIRLS

DATES: July 22 – July 25, 2021

RATES: Starting at $475 per person

During this 21+ weekend, we’re getting into our time machine to relive the magic and fun of a Skyland summer. This weekend will be packed full of traditions, songs, and nostalgic meals. We’ll laugh, sing, try new things, reconnect with old friends- and maybe even our old selves. We may not be campers anymore, but that just means we get to have more fun…

Highlights of Alumnae Camp include:

  • engaging outdoor activities for grown-up girls who are campers at heart
  • nostalgic camp traditions brought back to life
  • a break from technology (we’ve all had our fill of virtual work and school)
  • three delicious meals a day, made in-house by the Skyland chef
  • making new Skyland memories

LODGING

Alumnae can choose from three lodging options: Private Cabins, The Lodge, or The Ranch House.

The Lodge Rooms

The Lodge, also known as “The Big House”, holds special importance for many Skyland alumnae. It is where many of us grew up (wishing we were old enough to be a Cabin girl), and is in many ways the center of camp. The Lodge was built as a Victorian hotel near the turn of the 20th century and features the original hotel rooms and a 2nd-story screened-in wrap-around porch. Rooms in The Lodge sleep 1-3 people and offer shared bathrooms and showers.

Choose between a Shared Room, where you may be roomed with another guest, or a Private Room for yourself or you and a friend.

Private Cabin

Skyland’s historic cabins were originally built in the 1920s as family summer cottages. Each one is unique and offers up plenty of rustic charm. Cabins can sleep 4-6 people on the screened-in sleeping porch and each cabin has its own private bathroom and shower, as well as plenty of living space for playing games, storing luggage, and relaxing. To rent a cabin, one member of your group must reserve a private cabin during registration.

The Ranch House

The Ranch House was originally built as a private residence. It is now a comfortable home-away-from-home at Skyland Camp. Perched at the top of the hill beside the tennis courts, The Ranch House offers three bedrooms with sleeping space for 6 people, two baths, A/C, a full kitchen, wifi, a gas fireplace, and two private porches.

FAQ’S

What are the age restrictions for Alumnae Camp?

All participants must be 21+ and alumnae of Skyland Camp for Girls. If you are interested in experiencing Skyland with your family or with your younger daughter(s), please take a look at our Family Camp and Mother Daughter Retreats.

How do I reserve lodging for a group?

During registration, one member of your group will select the preferred lodging type under the lodging options. This person will be responsible for all payment. The rest of the group will select “Staying with a Friend” during registration and will not be charged.

Can I bring snacks and adult beverages?

Yes! Each room and cabin will be provided with a box that seals shut to store your food and beverages in order to keep out “critters”. Ice is available upon request.

What if I have a food allergy?

Please note food allergies during the registration process and Skyland staff will provide meal options to accommodate your specific needs.

Can I stay with my friends?

Yes. Please note who you would like to share a room or cabin with during registration. Cabin groups and those sharing rooms will be considered “bubbles” and will travel to meals and activities together without requiring social distancing.

What will a typical day look like?

Each day of Alumnae Camp will be unique and jam-packed with classic Skyland activities. We don’t want to give away all of our surprises, but to get an idea of what a day at Alumnae Camp will look like, take a look at the sample daily schedule.
