Working at camp is one of the most rewarding, challenging, and magical jobs you will ever have. If you want to make a difference in the lives of others while having fun and building life skills, there’s no better place to spend your summer than Skyland Camp. Each summer, Skyland staff come together for one mission: to create wonder, joy, connection, and growth for campers of all ages.

2024 STAFF DATES

We provide flexible work options for our staff. Choose as many or as few sessions as you are available to work.

Session 1: May 26 – June 4, 2024 (Private Mother-Daughter Camp)
Session 2: June 2 – June 11, 2024 (Mother-Daughter Camp ages 6-10)
Session 3: June 9 – June 16, 2024 (Mother-Daughter Camp ages 8-14)
Session 4: June 16 – July 10, 2024 (Staff Development and Girls Camp)
Session 5: July 14 – July 24, 2024 (Grown-Up Girls Camp)

Counselors who complete all 5 sessions will receive a Completion Bonus of an additional week’s pay ($300).

What is the interview process and hiring timeline?
Click on How to Apply to learn about our hiring process. The timeline from completing an application to receiving a hiring decision is generally 4-6 weeks. This time varies based on the time it takes to schedule interviews and hear back from references and background checks.
We know applying to jobs can be stressful, so we do our best to maintain clear communication about where we are in the hiring process and next steps for you along the way.

What’s the salary?
Counselors and Jr. Counselors receive weekly pay of $300, plus room and board and weekly laundry service (valued at $250-300/ week). In addition, Counselors receive a travel stipend if coming to camp from out of state.
Salaries in food services, health services, and housekeeping vary based on position and experience.
