Our Story
Four Generations of Welcoming People Home
Skyland's story began in 1917 when Susan Courtney "Granny" Harris boldly purchased a mountain hotel and transformed it into a place where girls could grow, explore, and thrive. More than a century later, Skyland remains owned and operated by four generations of women from the same family. While much has changed over the years, the heart of Skyland remains the same: creating a place where people feel welcomed, supported, and truly at home. From campfires and screened porches to lifelong friendships and unforgettable experiences, Skyland remains a place where memories are made and traditions are shared.
