Getting Here

Skyland Camp & Retreats is located just 25 miles west of Asheville, North Carolina, with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Great Smoky Mountains, and Pisgah National Forest—placing you right in the heart of Western North Carolina’s most scenic landscapes.

If you’re flying in, there are several convenient airport options:

  • Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is the closest, located about 30 miles from Skyland.
  • Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) is approximately 90 miles away.
  • Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is about 140 miles away and often offers more direct flight options.
  •  Skyland can assist with arranging transportation to and from Asheville Regional Airport only.

From I-40, take Exit 27 toward Clyde (Hwy 19/23), then take Exit 106 toward Clyde. Continue to the bottom of the hill and turn left at the first stoplight onto Morgan Street. Follow Morgan Street to the end, then turn right onto Broad Street. Take the first left onto Charles Street and cross the river.


At the stop sign just past the river, turn right onto Thickety Road, then take your first left onto Spencer Street. Follow Spencer Street until it ends at the A-frame house, then turn right to stay on Spencer Street. You’ll pass Clyde Park on your right. At the fork, stay right and continue up the hill on the gravel road. Look for the Skyland Camp sign on your left—you’ve arrived.
