Frequently Asked Questions About Women’s Golf Retreats
What to Know Before Attending Skyland’s Golf Camp for Women
Do I need prior golf experience to attend Golf Camp?
No, the retreat is designed for a range of skill levels, from beginners to experienced players looking to improve their technique and confidence.
Is there WiFi / A/C / a TV available?
WiFi is available in The Lodge.
There are no TVs on camp.
The cabins and The Lodge do not have A/C. Typically, the highs in early June are in the 70s or 80s with temperatures dropping considerably at night. We're often wearing sweatshirts to breakfast! Fans are provided in each room, and we suggest bringing a battery-operated fan that can clip onto the end of your bed if you are concerned about being hot.
Additionally, The Lodge was built in 1897, before electricity was common in buildings! This means that most rooms only have one outlet available. We encourage you to leave unnecessary electronics at home and embrace camp life to its fullest.
Will there be opportunities to play the course?
Yes, players will have the opportunity to play two 9 hole rounds of golf with on-course coaching. After the 9 hole rounds, players can choose to play the back nine (no on-course instruction) or head back to Skyland for some socializing and relaxation time.
Is this retreat focused more on competition or enjoyment?
The focus is on improvement and enjoyment, creating a low-pressure environment where guests can learn, practice, and have fun while building confidence.
What makes this golf retreat different from others?
Skyland combines professional coaching with a camp-style atmosphere, offering a unique blend of skill development, connection, and relaxation.
